Moving from Five Figures to Six
- Breaking Your Habits
Everything you do in your business life today has
helped you get to your current level of success.
You
might define your current level of success in terms of your
income, your current number of clients, or your status and
recognition within your community.
Having gotten here, you WANT MORE. "When
you have learned to appreciate what you have and where you
are, then the time is close for you to let go and move on
to the next level. There is always a higher level. But you
can't go to the next level until you leave the one you're
on. This is where the Spirit of Wisdom will give you divine
discontentment." p. 54 The Spiritual Millionaire, Keith
Cameron Smith.
If you're experiencing divine discontentment, that simply
means that you want something more.
Here's the key: in order to receive more, you need
to leave the level you're on. The level you're
on is not a physical place. If it were, you'd just get out
of your chair and walk away!
The level you're on is a mental, emotional, and
financial place. It's the result of everything
you've been thinking, speaking, and doing up til now. In
essence, the way you live, the way you think, how you speak,
even what you eat – it all supports you at your current
level of success.
Do you want MORE success? You get to define success. Does
that mean more clients, more money, more influence, to start
a movement, more time off?
To get more, you have to break out of your current
set of habits. Those habits help you maintain the
level of success you're at: financial and otherwise. To
get more, you need a new set of habits. Ultimately, you'll
change the way you think, speak, act, and yes, even eat!
Fortunately, one change will lead to another, so you don't
have to toss out everything you're doing today. You can
start moving to the next level by changing one thing.
If you're at five figures and you want six, you
need to think, speak and act like a six-figure business
owner. If you're at six figures and you want seven,
you need to think, speak and act like a seven-figure business
owner. If you want to be a top direct seller, you need to
think, speak and act like a top direct seller.
I'm going to go in depth on what this looks like during
a special two-part teleclass coming up in April and May.
For now, I recommend two ideas:
- Change your physical environment. If
your office is messy, clean it up (just put stuff in boxes
if you need to, vs. turning cleaning-your-office into
another task that you're not doing). If you like your
office, what about adding in more art work or flowers
or candles, to make it even more special?
- Change your routine. If you work in
one room, try another one. If you work at home, go to
the coffee shop or library. Which changes your physical
environment as well, so this is a two-for-one tip.
